The program will provide web design and digital assistance to nonprofits to create an impact and reach target audiences. The purpose of this award is to honor and advance the recipient organization’s efforts and call attention to the global need for humanitarian aid, thereby encouraging others to expand their support.

Awards to Canada authors to acknowledge outstanding contributions to the field of literature. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winner and finalists. Nominations are invited for collections of fictional short stories or novels that have been recently published. A prize will be awarded to the novel or short story collection published between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025 that, in the opinion of the jurors, is the year’s best book of fiction. There are three rounds of deadlines, which are dependent on the date of publication.

The award is intended to recognize a teacher of grades 6-8 who has inspired and motivated students and demonstrated excellence in teaching. The winning teacher will be honored at the Middle-Level Section Luncheon during the NCTE Annual Convention.

Awards of $2,500 and an award of $10,000 to USA, Canada, and International authors to recognize contributions to the field of Jewish literature. The award recipient will be honored for an outstanding work of nonfiction that explores modern Jewish thought and increases awareness of the meeting point of faith and modernity. Eligible themes include, but are not limited to, ethics, Jewish identity, antisemitism, and Jewish history.

Grants of $2,500, grants of $5,000, and in-kind support to USA, Canada, and International early-career sports photographers to support career growth. In addition to funds, grant recipients will benefit from professional development opportunities, participate in a photography conference, and be eligible for a year-long mentorship.

Participating startups will receive an investment of funds and professional guidance.

Grants of up to $15,000 to Yukon media production companies for preliminary production activities. Eligible projects are professional digital media projects, television programs, and films that benefit the Yukon economy. Funding is intended to help companies attract commitments from broadcasters, distributors, or online platforms for further development or production.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International high school journalism teachers to subsidize the cost of attending teacher workshops at an American university. Priority funding is given to unlicensed teachers and advisers and to those with little or no journalism teaching and advising experience. Grant recipients are expected to return to journalism teaching in the fall. Workshops will take place at Indiana University's High School Journalism Institute.

Grants to Yukon individuals, nonprofit organizations, and for-profits to promote the career advancement of those working in creative industries. Applicants must consult with program staff prior to applying. Funding is intended to support training opportunities that will improve skills and help artists find jobs that enable their work to reach the public. Eligible jobs include artistic director, general manager, production coordinator, marketer, framer, curator, conservator, editor, copyist, tuner, production accountant, translator, publisher, designer, make-up artist, and others.

Awards to Canada authors, translators, and illustrators, and grants to Canada publishers for outstanding works of literature in a variety of genres. The purpose of this program is to recognize exemplary artistic and literary publications. Awards will be given for books written in English and in French in the categories of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, drama, young people’s literature – text, young people's literature - illustrated books, and translation from French to English and from English to French.

Award to a USA, Canada or International individual for scholarly research and writing on the Holocaust. Only books containing new research on the Holocaust, or its antecedents and aftermath, will be considered. Research accuracy, methodology, scholarship, literary merit, originality, and importance of the research topic are important factors.

Prize of $4,000 to a USA, Canada, and International institution or individual for a project that combines digital technology and history. The purpose of the award program is to support and honor work on a media project that is open to the public. Eligible projects will demonstrate thoughtful, critical, and rigorous engagement with technology and the practice of history. The prize recipient(s) will be expected to apply awarded funds toward the advancement of the project goals.

Award of $1,000 to a USA, Canada, or International author for an excellent book on the post-Columbus history of North America. This award is intended to recognize and celebrate excellence in historical research. Biographies, monographs, and works of synthesis and interpretation are eligible.

Grants to Yukon nonprofit, faith-based, community, and recreational organizations in eligible locations to offset the cost of property taxes and rent paid instead of taxes. Funding is intended to assist organizations that serve people with disabilities, seniors, low-income people, and individuals with special needs. Requests will also be considered from organizations leasing municipal properties, animal shelter facilities, and museums. Eligible applicants are located in Whitehorse.
